Outpatient drug treatment for opioids, fentanyl, cocaine, prescription drugs, and marijuana. Real clinical care, close to home, without putting your life on hold.
Confidential. No pressure. We'll explain your options clearly.
The structure of treatment, without moving into a facility.
Shine Wellness & Recovery is a locally founded, state-licensed outpatient addiction treatment center at 605 Broadway, Unit 3A in Saugus. Outpatient means you get real, structured clinical care during the day or evening, and you sleep in your own bed at night. You keep your job, stay close to your family, and practice the skills you learn in the actual life you are recovering in.
Outpatient drug rehab is for people who are medically stable and do not need 24-hour supervision, but who need far more support than a weekly appointment. Many of our clients come to us right after detox or an inpatient stay. Others come straight from home because they know they cannot keep going the way things are. Either way, the first step is the same: a free, confidential assessment where we get to know you and recommend the right level of care. No commitment, no pressure.
Addiction is not a moral failing, and treatment here is not about judgment. Our team blends licensed clinicians with people in long-term recovery who have sat exactly where you are sitting. We will be honest with you about what we see, and we will walk with you for as long as it takes.
Whatever brought you here, there is a program built for it.
Opioid use disorder is treatable. We combine medication-assisted treatment with therapy and relapse prevention to help you stabilize and rebuild.

Three outpatient levels, matched to where you are right now.
Most people start at a higher level of care and step down as they stabilize. Your clinical team reviews your progress with you regularly, and moving between levels is a normal, healthy part of the process, not a setback and not a graduation you have to earn.

For opioid use disorder, medication is one of the most effective tools we have. When it is clinically appropriate, our psychiatric nurse practitioner can prescribe and manage buprenorphine (Suboxone) or naltrexone (Vivitrol or oral). These medications reduce cravings and block the effects of opioids, which gives you the breathing room to actually engage in therapy and rebuild your life.
At Shine, medication-assisted treatment is always combined with counseling and group work. Medication alone is not treatment, and treatment without medication is harder than it needs to be for many people. We also treat co-occurring conditions like anxiety, depression, and trauma alongside substance use, because they almost always travel together.
Knowing what to expect makes the first call easier.
Your first day starts with a conversation, not a commitment. You will meet with a clinician for a confidential assessment: your history, what you are using, your health, and what you want your life to look like. We verify your insurance before your first visit and explain your coverage in plain language, so cost is never a surprise.
From there, we recommend a level of care and, in many cases, you can start the same day. If you want a detailed walkthrough of exactly what happens when you walk through the door, we wrote it out: what your first day looks like.
We'll reach out to your insurance company, explain exactly what's covered, and walk you through any costs before you ever start treatment. No guessing, no hidden bills , just clear answers up front.
We accept most major insurance plans.
